personality
Though on the surface, Chuuya is a particularly brash individual, he is not without his soft spots. Having grown up on the streets of Yokohama and defending the disparate youth that made up the Sheep, he has come to care deeply about the less fortunate within the city. Through his work in the Mafia, he believes that he is doing right by his city by accomplishing and regulating the dirty work that the government might overlook.
Though his intelligence and tactical mind were often overshadowed in the presence of Osamu Dazai, he still possesses an incredibly sharp wit. In his youth, he showed considerable talent when controlling the Mafia's smuggling routes. As an adult, he holds his own against Fyodor Dostoevsky, fooling him into believing that he was a vampire allied with the Decay of Angels.
He has a particular love for dogs, wine, music, and fancy hats.

background
In the depths of a military base, a young boy was cloned as part of a series of experiments seeking to create a host for an ability singularity. Chuuya's first memories were at age eight, when he was snatched from the facility by Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine. After Chuuya's latent abilities were utilized in a fight between the two men, Chuuya was left to survive alone within Yokohama.
After wandering the streets, starving and confused, he taken in by the Sheep. Eventually, he would be known as the King of the organization, a begrudging title granted to him by his vicious defense of the organization. Though Chuuya cared deeply for those under his wing, the love was not shared. To them, Chuuya was a tool, a means to cement their place within the seedy underbelly of Yokohama.
Despite this, he still felt great remorse when the Sheep betrayed them due to his brief work with the Port Mafia. Though the organization arrived shortly after to wipe out the Sheep, Chuuya struck a deal, permanently joining the Mafia in order to preserve the lives of his former friends. This alliance had a secondary benefit: should he manage to reach the level of executive, Chuuya would be able to uncover the information that they had recovered from Rimbaud.
A year later would see Chuuya thriving within the Mafia. During this time, Verlaine returned. Believing Chuuya to be a sibling of sorts, Verlaine intended to kill anyone that Chuuya was close to in an attempt to get the young man to join him. In the end, Dazai and Chuuya would thwart Verlaine twice over, seemingly killing the man. Unfortunately, their efforts resulted in the willing sacrifice of any concrete proof as to whether or not Chuuya was a real human, or simply a clone. Nevertheless, those closest to him maintain full belief in his humanity.
As a result of their fight with Verlaine, Chuuya and Dazai became a fearsome duo, one that took the Mafia to new heights. Their partnership, known as Double Black, came to an end when Dazai left the mafia.
These days, Chuuya works as a brutal enforcer of the Mafia's will, both domestically and abroad. His work has brought him in contact with Dazai once more, reigniting the flames of Double Black on two separate occasions in order to preserve Yokohama. Most recently, the two were able to temporarily thwart Fyodor Dostoevsky, though they did ultimately play into his hand.

appearance
Standing at 5'2 and swathed in an overcoat, Chuuya indeed embodies his unfortunate Petit Mafioso moniker. Beneath his clothing, however, is a toned body capable of delivering powerful punches even without the force of his abilities.
Chuuya has heterochromia. Relative to the observer, Chuuya's left eye is brown, while the right is blue. His teeth are slightly pointed, and he sports a number of scars in the shape of his corruption marks. These are faint, silvery, and easily missed. A number of other scars from various injuries line his body, including a stab wound in his stomach, courtesy of the Sheep, and an unexplained scar on his wrist.
Chuuya prides himself on his sense of fashion, even if it can be a bit questionable at times.

skills & abilities
- Gravity Manipulation: Chuuya is capable of altering the impact of gravity on both himself and on other people, but only after making contact with them (or if they’re standing within his relative area and are impacted by the influence on his own body). Some examples of this are
- Reducing gravity on his body, allowing him to move at high speeds, or to stand on objects sideways and upside down.
- Increasing the gravity behind his kicks and punches, causing massive damage (hello holes punched in bodies)
- Repel inbound projectiles gravity of his own body upon contact, and then redirect their course by altering their gravity
- Reducing gravity on his body, allowing him to move at high speeds, or to stand on objects sideways and upside down.
- Corruption: By chanting the lines “grantors of dark disgrace, do not wake me again” Chuuya releases the lock on the “Gate” holding back Arahabaki, a skill singularity. In this form, he is able to literally throw black holes and all types of crazy shit. His strength is also extremely enhanced. This is a pretty good example of what it can do. However, his body is incapable of maintaining this form on its own, and it will gradually tear his body apart. He is also unable to deactivate Corruption on his own, and will die without intervention. The only known way to intervene is using Dazai’s ability.
- Chuuya is labeled as the best martial artist in the Port Mafia.
